Online Shopping

It is definitely tempting. Like so tempting. Everyday now, the internet and tech we have has been used to it's maximum advantage. It is really much more convenient to shop online and have the package delivered straight to your home. To me, the cons of shopping online would be that the sizes and probably the material? I can't seem to trust it. Because pictures can be so deceiving. Recently, I have purchased some makeup from Hermo.my which is a reliable website where you can buy makeup, skin care products and more. There was a sale for Revlon and since I'm not a major fan of makeup, I purchased a revlon ultimate suede colorstay in the shade of #055 Iconic. It's great. No problems with that, it looks really similar to my actual lip color so woots. The next product that I have gotten is actually a BB cream in the lightest shade they had. As I opened the parcel, the packaging of the product was so old and had a see through container sort of package. It seemed that the cream was all cracked up. Since I'm like inexperienced, I just poured it. On my hand. It was greasy af. The consistency of it was gross. Uhm, after that, I just threw it away. Lol. Little did I know, I am supposed to shake it before I use it. Oh well. Ten bucks gone.

The first time that I actually shopped something online was when I purchased skinny mint teatox. No problems on that. Am definitely tempted to buy more because they work, and they taste so good. Their promotions are great but I still find them a lil too pricey. ( Or maybe I am just cheapskate ) Talking bout working out, god, I'm the worst. Completely stopped. I really rather much just chill with the time I have left. Hehe, next purchase I have gotten was from Zalora. Had a RM50 voucher off thanks to my dad, so I have gotten a long sleeved top which I am really pleased because the material is great. The next one I got was three pairs of leggings. I kinda regret getting those now though. It was totally last minute shopping. Talking bout Zalora, I just bought a dress too. Because I had a RM40 off voucher because of the bank's survey. So why not. Save more money! I'm kinda excited for this dress cuz I really like the straps. It's sort of the trend right now, so yeah. I'm just blabbering a ton of crap.

101 Reasons to Go Vegan: My Recap

This has been one of the most eye-opening presentations I have ever watched. Probably the first time I have been sparked by such passion by the pits of my heart. Got this inspiration by some of the vegan Instagram users. Thank you so much. I have taken up this journey where there will be many obstacles, however, I am willing to try my best. Even higher than my best if I could. I really want to do this. I do not know how long I would practice this plant-based diet. However, I will just go with the flow. My body has responded in such that my hormones are raging. Like the time of the month has been so on point. ( Usually, when pimples or zits pop out, the time of the month is here.)  With that saying, the video that I have posted below has motivated me even more to pursue this kind of uncommon lifestyle.

It has been fairly around two weeks since I have been vegan. Strictly vegan. It is not about the temptations. Not about the desire. It is all about discipline. Control. My family does not get it. My mom tries though, dad thinks I'm easily influenced. That's not the case. I'm following my heart. This is what I have been trying to find. Once again, I'm not to such extremist level. Just being open minded. Why not share knowledge that people do not know or are not even aware of what they are even consuming. Those animals, are too, living things who have the desire to live, just like us humans. #animalrights #compassionateliving ( using hashtags to reason )

Let's just put this simply. You put a strawberry under your nose, what do you smell? A strawberry. You put a dog under your nose, what do you smell? A dog. Next, you cut a strawberry in to half, you get two-halves of a strawberry. You cut a dog into half, you get blood, guts and decomposed flesh. How much of a difference is it? The difference, is that, you don't hear the screams of the strawberry but you do of the dog. It is cruel. It has been awhile, that the news of some of the China population has been consuming dog meat. Horrible. Inhuman. Sick, maybe? Everyone was literally shocked about this. Our culture has always taught us that, dogs are pets. You can rare and play with them.

How is this any different from a pig? Almost everyone would perceive, pigs to be a source of food. While the dog, a pet. They are both animals. Both have the same number of eyes, legs, ears, nose however appearance wise would be different. Therefore, I bring up culture differences. Here in Malaysia, we have a few sources of protein, processed meat wise. Mainly the chicken, beef, fish and pork. To China, consuming dog meat is like a daily kind of meal to them. This is why we should just change our perception on veganism. In this world, we have human rights. Why can't animals have their rights too? You can say, oh that's because, no one ain't got time for that. Think about it.

For an example, you see someone using a baseball bat to wack the heck out of a dog, what would you do? Call the police or stop the guy right? Would you do the same if it were a pig? If you literally had to think about this question. You're really oblivious. Yes, you would! Imagine if the guy was hitting your own child, lol. But like seriously, so much shit is happening out there right now. Anything could happen. Therefore, just proving my point, resting my case, animals have their own rights.

I have yet to research, find out more information on this vegan journey. I am more than happy to blog. I do feel happier and most importantly healthier being vegan. My energy level has skyrocketed and am more hungry since my daily intake is mainly just grains, vegetables and fruits. Am at a cafe right now which is called "Closer Kitchen and Espresso Lab" with my brother. It is really quite happening if you get what I mean haha. It has a great service, really friendly staff and the tea here is good. Loving the interior design of this place, especially the bulbs. Shall read on "Vegan for Dummies." Ciao!

Vegan

Definition: Veganism / is the practice of abstaining the use of animal products, particularly in one's diet, as well as following an associated philosophy that rejects the commodity status of sentient animals. A follower of veganism is known as a vegan.

There you have it. Straight from Wikipedia. It took me a whole day of researching online over a hundred of webpages on wellness, eating right, plant-based recipes, and for all the right reasons changing my lifestyle. There are some sites that I liked so will definitely take heed to their advice and try out their home-made fail proof recipes. To be vegan, I have to have really strong discipline and determination. After all this while, I have been eating meat since I have been brought up by Chinese cuisines. However, I am a Buddhist. Therefore, I want to respect tradition to who I pray all for. If you are interested, read the link beside this sentence : The Buddhist Diet

Besides, I am not totally an extremist. I don't think I can eat raw clean vegetables yet. So basically, I will start slow. I really think I can do this if I just put my mind to it. I do really believe that we all can. Just came back from the night market, and am so super happy because my family and I have just purchased a whole lot of fruits! Melons, lemons, kiwis, rambutan, banana and more. Recently, I have tried having oatmeal with maple syrup. It was good! Was so pleased that I enjoyed it, my whole family isn't really much of a fan of it. The healthy lifestyle must start now.

For a while now, I thought of contributing something everyday, not on objects, or money, it's more like self-giving. I would like to think that changing my lifestyle to a vegan diet would prove compassionate living among us humans and animals. Even though it may be a huge change to my daily lifestyle, meat has not been such a huge part of it. I enjoy eating fruits, vegetables and have always been picky with my food in a health-conscience way. Kinda am excited to see how I will go, and the results that come with it.

Clearly, this is the food pyramid for the vegan kind of daily eating. It's not bad at all. First thing I would like to clear up, I am actually allergic to eggs it is unbelievably the most unfortunate. I would  get a skin disease called "ezcema" so I'd best avoid it. Besides, I am also allergic to seafood. Like wow. It couldn't get worse than that, especially when a meal is cooked with garlic along with shellfish. The worse combo ever ( for me ). Never have been a huge fan of meat so it's all good. And if you are wondering if I don't eat meat, I would not be able to get the nutrients I need from it such as protein, iron and others? Have no fear! Hope you enjoyed this post!

Here again

This was how my day was from the start. Crap. Just because of some miscommunication and assumptions. It's like, the power we have, the ability for us to carry out work, is truly up to us. The stagnant, immobile things is not gonna go anywhere. Everyday is like rush this rush that when we could basically take our own ("sweet") time. I don't mean to sound like a procrastinator, I'm not. I just mean why rush. What's all the hurry about. I have issues. Yet, rushing frustrates me all the time. Sigh. Does anyone else face this dilemma?

Just finished my pilates workout and it was good. As per usual, I sweat off my whole attire and my poor yoga mat. My arm and thigh muscles hurt. I feel sorry for myself but I know the next day I will be so satisfied huehuehue. A bad mood can indeed help when you work out. It just pushes you to go further and harder. Train insane or remain the same. How unfortunate that I only have one more month to count down. But, I need to get on with life. Progress and strive. I am not done most of my checklist. Now listening to Shura. Such chill music.

Posted on instagram, shall be posted here once again. Totally love this place, since it is close-by my house. Probably have been here for about four times already? Was here yesterday night chilling with my brother and Jeremy. Had the cafe latte and it was so good. The richness of the coffee bean and perfect blend of hot milk was just right. Basically, it's great.

Life, being real here, I don't know what I want anymore. Like I don't have a preference. If there are choices out there for me, like selective choices, I would be all open-minded and be ready to accept any one of those choices. I do have high standards but it's like I don't care anymore. Which is bad. I do not understand what has become of me. I think these past few months has been draining my soul and energy out. This doesn't really include me being passionate bout my career, studies or fitness-wise. It is more of how I feel about everything else. Which is weird because I used to care so much, on things that meant the whole world to me or how others perceive me to be. I guess everyone else has that feeling too. Right now, I just don't care. I can't exactly compare that there are much more important things that matters more than what meets the eye, but yeah, that's the truth.

Even though it hurts, like the past catches up on you, or when shit hits the fan, it is all going to be just fine and dandy. People out there has experienced way worse scenarios. I try to make myself feel better just by listening to music or sometimes writing in my diary. But something's changing and I don't know why. I guess I have been through a lot of hell, so whatever happens, I know I can make it through just the next obstacle in life. Whether it is arguments, jealousy, or misunderstandings. It will fade when I truly grow up. I wish I could take care of myself. I can't believe that I made it to this stage. And I can't remember what happened in half the hell I went through. Well, it is all good now.

olfactory bulb

Since Father's Day is this coming Sunday, my family and I decided to celebrate this occasion two days earlier at the Olfactory Bulb at Dataran Sunway. Which is located on the same row as Donutes Bakery. Pretty easy to find as it is has an attractive exterior design, black. It just stood out from the row of shop lots. With that, here are some pictures. I tried my best but I am really no photographer.

Such pretty lights! I got sooooooo excited when I first got here with my brother huehue. We were actually supposed to go to another cafe, and it was on a Friday night if I clearly remembered. Alas, it was closed so my brother and I in the car on the road at night peeling our eyes for some hipster cool shitz cafe. Tada. The row where the cafe was completely packed with cars so we had to go to another lane to find parking. Hehe. Got so psyched!

With my lovely awesome parents! :)
Who do I resemble more? :p

Cafe Latte; it was so good. My expectations were really high already cuz the place had such a cool and chill vibe about it. The coffee certainly did not disappoint. It may seem like a really high-end place but the price of all the drinks, cakes and desserts ( mainly their waffles, macarons and others ) are all standard. Totally love this place and would come back for more. Definitely.

June, 13th

Five more days. 13th June 2015. I knew it like it was on the back of my mind. This guilt. This pain. The tears that I have cried for this coming day. And you still have no clue. I'm so sorry. I really wish I could forget, I'm still trying. Even though it is difficult, there is this saying that tough times don't last, tough people do. So I have to man up. I was so alone. All by myself, guess I have to thank everyone around me supporting me. Wish I could have chosen another path that wouldn't have cost this kind of fate to me. Looking back at all the past months, I realized I was such a fool. A fool for you basically.

The past few months, I have gotten to experience how to properly drive a car, earn money as a financial insurance agent in HLA, take better care of myself. Besides, I have a lot gotten better at pilates much thanks to Cassey Ho, blogilates instructor. Not only that, my family and I have traveled to Bangkok, Thailand and Boracay, Philippines. My family's bond and relationship has improved so much that I'm glad all has worked out. The household, my freedom, and life has fallen into place. I was never waiting for this moment, I just had to do the right thing. Like I said, I am the fool.

This was such an emotional post. I try not to show so much of how I'm feeling. Sometimes it is better to keep things to yourself. Not that no one would ever care, no one, likewise me, have time to be sad or upset. The only way to uplift yourself is you. Don't ever rely or depend on someone. I figured that out the hard way. The damn difficult way. It's not easy for me to let this go. But I have for the better. Heh, I'm alright. I need to start running more often and get more toned. I still have at least three to four more books left to read. I am a lil more pickier that last time.

What nonsense have I chosen to read those romantic cliche kind of novels, this excludes The Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella and The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot, because those series rocked my world. It made a realm of writing and passion for me to read more books. This is called immature reading. Or maybe I took some sort of pleasure into reading those kind of silly books. Recently, my mom and I went out shopping. It was great! Had awesome mee rebus and ice kacang at Penang Flavours, takoyaki at Tako Tao; food is amazing. Not only that, purchased two new pairs of formal pants which feels amazing, a pair of ballet flats with golden kitten faces, and a brand new purse from Vincci. I am so glad. Woohoo.

There is no getting through or over with the past. If you gave me a choice to go back, I would not ever. Lesson friggin learned. Thanks for making this mistake. I have given so much so now I am in repair. Have a great day everyone!
